The Ballroom Dance Center has been teaching Augusta to dance since 1992, which makes it the longest continuously operating ballroom dance studio in the CSRA. Dance Smart at The Ballroom Dance Center!
Friday Dances and Themed Balls
7:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
We continue a long tradition of fun social dances for our students. Attending parties is the perfect way to practice what you learn on your private and group lessons in a social setting. That saying “Practice makes perfect!” is true, especially within the warm, hospitable environment of The Ballroom Dance Center. Total beginners to advanced dancers are welcome. Our dances are also open to the public.
Dances are offered once a month, usually on the Fourth Friday, at the studio. Occasionally, we have a few performance numbers featuring our students. The staff and instructors circulate to invite guests to dance and to even show them a new step or two. A helpful and entertaining lesson is offered at the beginning of each dance. The lesson in February will be Hustle. At some dances, the dance card system is used where pre-registered students get to dance with the teachers on a pre-assigned rotation for the first part of the dance. The dance is from 7:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. Admission is $15 to our dance parties and $20 to our themed balls.

Intermediate Ballroom/Rhythm/Club-Salsa Rueda: 6:30 P.M. until 7:15 P.M. – taught by Emilie Tobias
Intermediate West Coast Swing: 7:15 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. – taught by Joshua Griffin
Adult Formation: 8:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. – taught by Joshua Griffin

Argentine Tango Workshop with Gustavo Marcelo Russo & Florencia Lucano: 7:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M.
