Deirdre of London
Having been a world class dancer, Deirdre, master designer of Deirdre of London, is keenly aware of the unique needs of how a dancer needs to feel in what they are wearing. Her dresses have been designed for champions from countries from around the world for decades. The quality in which her dresses are constructed is of a superior standard to anything out there today using only the finest fabrics and stones available from England.
Deirdre of London was founded in London, England, in 1976 when top International Dancesport competitors noticed the designs of Deirdre’s competition costumes and asked her to design and make their costumes. Deirdre worked in London for many years before being invited to the United States in 1996 on an artist visa to provide costumes to World Champions and the U. S. Pro-Am circuit.
Her dedication to high quality design and impeccable workmanship continues into the fourth decade at Deirdre of London, Inc. All dresses continue to be designed and produced by Deirdre. Her background as a fashion school graduate and world class competitive dancer continues to influence her fashion-forward designs.

Dance Partners
Jazzercise
This group offers powerfully fun and effective workout classes combining cardio, strength and stretch moves. All instructors are positive motivators and provide easy to follow cues. All Jazzercise teachers are extensively trained, CPR certified and stay abreast of the latest developments in fitness. Classes continually vary choreography and music to bring energy to each class. Jazzercise combines movements of jazz, dance, resistance training, Pilates, yoga, kickboxing and more.
Augusta Christian Singles
A dance is sponsored by the Augusta Christian Singles every Saturday from 7 to 10:30 pm at The Ballroom Dance Center. It is open to members and nonmembers 18 years or older. This dance provides wholesome, fun fellowship in a nonsmoking, alcohol free environment. Couples are welcome as well and are invited to dance with their partner during the evening. Admission is $8 for members and $10 for nonmembers.

Professional Dance Vision International Dance Association is a professional teacher organization that is open to all professional dance teachers and competitors. The goal of ProDVIDA is to provide the professional with top-notch service and valuable tools as well as identify those teachers who exemplify the highest levels of skill and ethical standards through training, experience and certification.
ISTD
The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) is one of the world’s leading dance examination boards. Their chief objective is to educate the public in the art of dancing in all its forms. This is done by promoting the knowledge of dance, maintaining and improving teaching standards and providing, through their syllabi, techniques upon which to train dancers for the profession.
NDCA
The National Dance Council of America, Inc. (NDCA) is the official governing council of traditional Ballroom Dance in the United States. Its purpose is to provide, on a nationwide basis, a united inter-association agency to represent the interests of those in the dance profession and other dance-related entities and organizations and to act as the agency for cooperation with similar councils in other countries.
USISTD
The United States Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (USISTD) is affiliated with the world’s leading dance teachers’ society. The USISTD was granted a license to operate independently in the US on behalf of the London-based world-wide Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD), which was founded in 1904. The USISTD is proud to be affiliated with such a long-standing and prestigious dance society and is very diligent in its efforts to maintain the high dance standards set by the world’s leading dance examinations board.
USA Dance
USA Dance, Inc. is the national governing body for DanceSport in the United States as well as the representative organization for all social and recreational ballroom and Latin dancers in America, ranging from pre-schoolers to seniors.
USA Dance of Augusta/Aiken Chapter 6074
The Augusta/Aiken Chapter of the United States Amateur Dance Association was established in 1999. As a chapter of USA Dance, it is their mission to improve the quantity and quality of ballroom dancing in the Augusta/Aiken area. They do not promote any studio, but strive to provide a common bond within the dance community.
