The Ballroom Dance Center has been teaching Augusta to dance since 1992, which makes it the longest continuously operating ballroom dance studio in the CSRA. Dance Smart at The Ballroom Dance Center!
Lesson at 7:00 p.m. at all dances and balls
General Dancing from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The perfect learning triad of group and private lessons is completed by attending our dance parties and themed balls! That saying, “Practice makes perfect!” is true, especially within a warm, hospitable environment where the total beginner to the advanced dancer is welcomed. Our dance parties and themed balls are offered once a month, usually on the Fourth Friday with refreshments at our themed balls and, occasionally, a few performance numbers. The staff, instructors, and dance hosts circulate to invite guests to dance and to even show them a new step or two. A helpful and entertaining lesson is offered at the beginning of each dance. At some dances, the dance card system is used where pre-registered students get to dance with the teachers, dance hosts, and staff on a pre-assigned rotation for the first part of the dance. Admission to our dance parties is $15 and $20 for our themed balls.
